Epstein Certified Instruction

The roots of my hitting instruction come straight from Ted Williams, arguably the greatest hitter ever. Williams handed his knowledge down to 10-year MLB player, Mike Epstein. Epstein developed the Epstein Hitting System and earned Ted Williams only endorsement for hitting instruction.

Video Analysis

Some of the greatest lessons for hitters come through slow-motion video analysis. Not only does the player get to see what their swing looks like, it can also be compared to advanced professional or collegiate players in order to see what the ultimate goal is.

Indoor Facility

While it may look like your standard ranch shop on the outside, ‘The Hut’ has all training needs covered. The last few years have seen this Quonset hut transform into a hitting facility and more. Practicing in this environment is comfortable and productive.

Clean up your swing!

Spring cleaning isn’t just for the house. Schedule your lessons so we can do a scrub on your swing mechanics. The schedule has changed quite a bit to accommodate my umpiring schedule. If the new schedule needs some flex to fit you in, use the contact button to reach out. Please note that there could be times when games are added to my umpire schedule and I have to reschedule your session. I will try to minimize the disruptions.

Thanks to everyone that put their trust in my instruction

Things at The Hut have gotten very busy. With varying schedules and needs, it is hard to build a consistent schedule for offering lessons. So as of November 2022, I am no longer offering private lessons.

If things smooth out, I will consider building a schedule once again. In the meantime, I’m happy to answer questions and share tips to help your players find success on the diamond.

Kind regards,
Doug
