The Epstein Hitting Instructor Certification is a two-day process beginning with an in-depth study of the common swing flaws found in youth hitters. The certification continues by exploring drills used to develop hitters. Finally, instructors spend time with the use of technology like Blast sensors and slow-motion video analysis options.
I have attended the certification multiple times to stay up-to-date on the latest drills and technology.
In addition to completing the instructor certification with Epstein Hitting, I have spent time with Jake studying individual lessons with youth players, high school prospects and D1 college players.
This has given me the opportunity to see the system work with all different levels of players.

During the Colorado Sparkler, the largest softball tournament in the country, I got to experience group instruction with Jake. A team from Alaska brought all of their players in for group work.
Seeing the group dynamic has been helpful for creating productive experiences with multiple players.
Things at The Hut have gotten very busy. With varying schedules and needs, it is hard to build a consistent schedule for offering lessons. So as of November 2022, I am no longer offering private lessons.
If things smooth out, I will consider building a schedule once again. In the meantime, I’m happy to answer questions and share tips to help your players find success on the diamond.
Kind regards,
Doug
