Steps for booking:
You have to book your sessions online. This is how I know that players are coming in to work out. If nobody has booked a session, I won’t be at The Hut to accommodate players that drop in.
Choose the 1:1 Hitting Lesson for personalized 1-on-1 work.
Choose the 4:1 Hitting Workout times (baseball or softball) for small group hitting workouts.
Individual lessons are personalized to the player’s needs and use a variety of advanced technology and data tracking (primarily slow-motion video analysis).
Group workouts incorporate Epstein Hitting drills in a generalized setting without the advanced technology. The technology devices don’t work as smoothly when trying to switch between multiple players.
> Pay on-site
> Cash is preferred
> Venmo works pretty easily if you would like an electronic option.
If you aren’t finding an open time slot that works for you, reach out to me and we can see if we can fit you in some other time.
If a day of the week that is regularly available is crossed out on the booking calendar, it usually means I need to be out of town to take my son to play, or I am scheduled to umpire.
The date might also be crossed out if The Hut isn’t available for lessons.
If you are solo and want to do a group workout, select the 4:1 Hitting Workout service. This will open up dates and times that are available to choose. Other players (up to 4 total) will also be able to book this slot as long as there is room.
To book a group workout for multiple players, select the 4:1 Hitting Workout and click the toggle to add other players to your reservation.
Group workouts that do not have at least two players booked will be canceled. Alternatively, you can change the booking to a 1-on-1 lesson (additional fees apply).
Spring cleaning isn’t just for the house. Schedule your lessons so we can do a scrub on your swing mechanics. The schedule has changed quite a bit to accommodate my umpiring schedule. If the new schedule needs some flex to fit you in, use the contact button to reach out. Please note that there could be times when games are added to my umpire schedule and I have to reschedule your session. I will try to minimize the disruptions.
Things at The Hut have gotten very busy. With varying schedules and needs, it is hard to build a consistent schedule for offering lessons. So as of November 2022, I am no longer offering private lessons.
If things smooth out, I will consider building a schedule once again. In the meantime, I’m happy to answer questions and share tips to help your players find success on the diamond.
Kind regards,
Doug
